Do-Write is a word processor with drawing ability and spell checking. Do-Write provides a simpler, more comprehensive implementation of the powerful Rick Ink object included on most versions of Pocket PC Handheld computers. The entire application was written using the .NET Compact Framework making it a single distributable suitable for devices that support the Compact Framework.

Why did we create Do-Write
After working with Pocket PC’s for a few yrs, we were really disappointed that enhancement had not been made to better support Rich Ink. In February of 2003, we started crafting a program call Telegraph that allows Pocket PC handheld programmers to easily use programs like Rich Ink in .NET applications, thus making it easier to implement a cross platform look and feel while maintaining one code base. While working on that tool the light bulb went on. Why not create a our own implementation of Rick Ink, add our existing Suki spell checking framework, and use that to advertise the capabilities of both Suki and Telegraph. Of course we figured we could offer this free to all people and thus offer an alternative to the existing Pocket Word application. Due to the complexity of creating, maintaining and supporting such an application we have decided to release Do-Write as a full powered pay application.
